Les Cornas du Domaine
Terres Brulées - 2007
Vines and Cellar
Grape varieties: Syrah Terroir: Granitic arenas on the steep slopes of the Rhones right bank. The culture of the vines is entirely manual without the use of insecticides or pesticides. A balanced approach which respects the environment. The wine is matured for 18 months in one year old barrels.
Tasting
Robe : Deep red, almost inky colour. Nose : Aromas of red fruit mixed with those of blackberries, and spices take on a hint of tabacco and liquorice. Palate : On the palate, the spicy side comes through showing its richness and concentration. Persistent aromas of red fruit and liquorice add an elegance to the structure built upon fine tannins.
Balance and fullness characterise this wine which 2 to 3 years cellaring will further enhance.
Pairing
A beautiful full-bodied red wine that matches well with all wild game and better cuts of beef.
